When selecting pneumatic ball valves (including those with piston actuators and diaphragm actuators), has anyone used natural gas as the instrument air? Are there any special considerations when using it? Is the output torque of natural gas higher than that of air under the same pressure?
Don’t sink. Has anyone used natural gas as the gas for valves and instruments? PS: There is no air on site
When there is no gas source available on site, considering changing the type of actuator is an option; gas-liquid actuators use pipeline gas as the control gas source, while hydraulic actuators are driven by hydraulic pressure; Alternatively, if there is a power source on site, electric actuators or electro-hydraulic actuators can be used.

There is no electricity at the site; if power is needed, it must be supplied by solar energy

It might be possible to use a battery to power the front actuator (which can be controlled via 3G signals) in order to drive the amplifier; the amplifier then controls the rear actuator, which can be powered by nitrogen cylinders or liquid nitrogen tanks~~~~~~~~
1. Using natural gas as the control gas source does not comply with the specifications; 2. Unsafe ; 3. There is leakage, and energy consumption is high. 4. There is moisture in natural gas. Switch the valve! There’s no electricity; use manual mode instead. The technicians should go to the site to move it.
There’s no issue with the dryness of natural gas at all. I’ve encountered situations where natural gas was used as instrument gas, but as for what specific precautions need to be taken, I’m not very familiar with that due to my job responsibilities
