In production sites, some manual valves have very short valve stems, while others have very long ones. What is the purpose of having such long valve stems?
The valve stems of different types of valves vary. The stem of a gate valve is generally related to the inner diameter of the pipe; the thicker the pipe, the longer the stem of the corresponding gate valve. In contrast, the stem of a globe valve is not as long, and this is determined by the travel distance of the valve core inside the valve body

If there are no issues with the itinerary and it meets the relevant standard requirements, it may still depend on the specifications of each manufacturer； Additionally, long rods can be shortened, while short rods cannot be welded to make them longer.
