Disadvantages: Affected by fluctuations in air compressor pressure, it is prone to being impacted by moisture in the air compressor during winters in the north, leading to freezing and failure of the transmission components.
The power industry makes more use of electric systems, while the petrochemical industry makes more use of pneumatic systems.

Price advantage, safety. If there’s an electric option, of course go with that – who wants to add another pneumatic system? It’s all due to considerations of safety and cost. How expensive are large electromagnetic valves, and how prone are they to burning out? Of course, using pneumatic systems is more convenient, cheaper, and less likely to fail
