Hello, experts. May I ask how forged steel valves and cast steel valves are manufactured? Are cast steel valves made by creating a mold and pouring molten steel into it, while forged steel valves are produced by processing forged steel ingots using machine tools? I’ve never been to a valve manufacturing plant, and I searched online for a long time without finding any relevant videos. Could anyone please give me some advice? Thank you.

Forged valves are produced by forging or pressing using forging equipment; those with small diameters are generally die-forged, while those with large diameters or special valve bodies are free-forged.
Additional question: Are valves made using casting processes prone to porosity, which can cause sand leakage?
