The bellows are there to prevent secondary leaks; if the bellows crack, it means the valve is damaged
The bellows protect the spring as well as the valve stem and packing of the valve; external forces or corrosion can easily damage the bellows. The structure is such that the spring of the safety valve is covered by a bellows-shaped tube for protection
The bellows are damaged; it’s not clear whether the issue lies in the manufacturing of the bellows or in its selection. It’s also unclear what type of medium is being used and under what operating conditions, all of which need to be analyzed.
