The electric control valve is a commonly used type of control valve, consisting of an electric actuator and a control valve body. Replacing manual operation with electric control improves adjustment accuracy, saves labor, and also enables remote control. There are two types: straight-stroke and angle-stroke. A straight-stroke electric control valve is driven by an electric actuator to move the control valve up and down in a straight line, while an angle-stroke electric control valve is driven by an electric actuator to rotate the control valve through 0-90°. Electric control valves rely primarily on electric actuators to open and close the valve. These electric actuators can receive analog signals of current or voltage from the control system, and by controlling the different degrees of opening of the valve, it is possible to regulate parameters such as the flow rate and pressure of the fluid in the pipeline, thereby enabling remote automatic control. Depending on the medium, different materials can be used for the valve body; carbon steel is commonly used, while for corrosive environments stainless steel grades such as 304, 316, or 316L are chosen. Fluorinated-lined control valves are also an option. Operating tips for electric control valves: 1. When starting the electric drive of an electric control valve, press the start button on the electrical panel; the motor will then begin to operate. After a certain period of time, the valve opens, and the motor stops running automatically. At this point, the “Open” indicator light on the electrical panel lights up ; If the electric control valve is to be closed, press the close button on the electrical panel; the valve will move in the closing direction until it is fully closed, at which point the \"Closed\" signal will light up. 2. During valve operation, the indicator lights for opening, closing, and the intermediate state should indicate accordingly. If the valve’s indication signal matches its actual operation, and it can close tightly and open fully, it indicates that the electric actuator is functioning properly. 3. If the signal light does not illuminate when the valve is in operation, at full open or full closed position, but the fault indicator light does, it indicates that the transmission mechanism is malfunctioning. The cause should be investigated, repairs should be carried out, and the system should be recalibrated. 4. If there is a fault with the electric actuator or it does not close properly and needs to be repaired, the control switch should be moved to the manual position; turn the handwheel clockwise to close the valve, and counterclockwise to open it. 5. The electric device must not be operated using the reverse button while it is running. If correction is necessary due to an accidental action, the stop button should be pressed first, and then the device restarted.
