Hello, dear teachers. I have a question: how many types of valve positioners are there, what are their functions, and what are the main differences between them?

Electrical positioners for pneumatic valves, with and without output. There are also intelligent positioners
Positioners are generally divided into mechanical and intelligent types. Mechanical types generally have a simple structure and are easy to maintain, but their precision is not as high as that of intelligent types; they are suitable for use in environments with harsh conditions where very high precision is not required. Intelligent types mainly contain electronic components such as feedback modules inside, allowing for relatively precise control; however, they are not suitable for dirty environments as dirt can damage these electronic components and affect the accuracy of regulation.
Switch valves have on/off positions, while control valves have opening degree positions.
