The upper and lower iron plates are not of the same size; the lower one is much smaller. Is that a problem? Do these two plates need to be spot-welded together? Thank you
Take a picture of the entire area to see; it should be the sliding end of the heat exchanger. If the structure has been properly calculated, there should be no problems. This has nothing to do with size, but only with the strength calculated for it. It is generally connected by bolts, without the need for welding
That’s the sliding bracket; take a look at how it’s done in the standard catalog – it should be welded.
