Check valves are the most convenient and cheapest option, but they create resistance, which increases the energy consumption of the compressor; Pneumatic ball valves are usually of the three-piece type; these valves can leak over time as they operate for extended periods. Due to the frequent start-up and shutdown of compressors, their failure rate is quite high ; Then there are angle seat valves. In systems with a slightly high pressure difference, these valves have poor reverse sealing and are prone to leakage; however, it’s not clear whether they can be used in reverse direction I wondered if there is a type of pneumatically actuated check valve that can serve as a check valve while also allowing the valve to be opened by sending a signal or using an air supply
What kind of pressure is that? A normal two-piece ball valve will suffice; it is unlikely to experience internal leakage.
Piston compressors are equipped with valve-type check valves, which is a standard feature; they are safe and reliable, have an extremely low accident rate, and are easy to maintain at a low cost.
