1. Before installation, check that all components of the pneumatic butterfly valve are present and that the model is correct; also ensure there are no debris inside the valve body, and that the solenoid valve and silencer are not clogged. 2. Set both the valve and the cylinder in the closed position. 3. Push the cylinder against the valve (the installation direction can be parallel or perpendicular to the valve body), then check whether the screw holes are aligned; there should not be too much deviation. If there is a slight deviation, simply rotate the cylinder body a little and then tighten the screws. 4. After installation, adjust the pneumatic butterfly valve (the normal supply pressure is 0.4~0.6 MPa). During adjustment and operation, the solenoid valve must be operated manually to open and close it (manual operation is effective only after de-energizing the solenoid valve coil), and observe the opening and closing behavior of the pneumatic butterfly valve. If it is observed during debugging that the valve experiences some difficulty at the beginning of its opening and closing process but functions normally afterward, it is necessary to reduce the cylinder’s stroke (adjust the adjustment screws at both ends of the cylinder slightly inward; when making these adjustments, the valve should be moved to the open position first, after which the air supply should be turned off before making further adjustments), until the valve opens and closes smoothly without any leakage. It should also be noted that adjustable silencers allow for the adjustment of the opening and closing speed of the valve, but it should not be adjusted too low, as this may cause the valve to fail to operate. 5. The valve must remain dry before installation and should not be stored outdoors. 6. Before installing the butterfly valve, check the pipeline to ensure that there are no foreign objects such as weld slag inside it. 7. The manual operation of the butterfly valve body requires moderate effort, and the torque required to operate the valve should match the torque of the actuator selected. 8. The flanges used for connecting the butterfly valve are of the correct specification, and the pipe clamp flanges match the standards of the butterfly valve flanges. It is recommended to use flanges designed specifically for butterfly valves; flat welding flanges should not be used. 9. Ensure that the flange welding is correct; no further welding of the flange should be carried out after the butterfly valve has been installed, to avoid damaging the rubber components. 10. The flanges of the installed pipes must be aligned, and they must also be aligned with the butterfly valve that has been installed. 11. Install all the flange bolts and tighten them by hand. Verify that the butterfly valve is aligned with the flange, then carefully open and close the butterfly valve to ensure smooth operation. 12. Fully open the valve, and tighten the bolts in a diagonal sequence using a wrench; no washers are required. Do not over-tighten the bolts to avoid severe deformation of the valve ring or excessive opening/closing torque.
