Hello, Sea Friends! Regarding the pressure testing documentation for process pipelines, is it necessary to use the cover sheet of the SH/T3903-B17 submission/inspection form, and have it signed and stamped by the project supervisor and the owner?
It depends on the requirements set by the owner; it’s just a cover. In some projects, the owners even have to discard the inspection covers once the delivery documents are submitted. This is the cover for our pressure testing package (pressure testing was completed before the New Year, and we are now in the stage of adding materials)

For the chemical engineering projects here, the supervision party only provides the cover pages as part of the handover documents; therefore, it is necessary to have a cover page for archiving purposes. Of course, all documents signed by the supervision party and the owner must also be submitted for approval. This depends mainly on the agreements and management regulations established at the start of the project, and any unreasonable aspects can be discussed later. In practice, it ultimately depends on what the owner decides. Of course, there are also the Special Inspection Agency’s considerations. In addition to the materials mentioned above, we have another set prepared specifically for the Special Inspection Agency, but they haven’t finalized it yet...
