I would like to ask everyone: In national standard flanges, with RF raised-face flanges, the chamfers on the sealing surfaces often interfere with the bolt holes. Should the sealing area be reduced by a few millimeters, or should the chamfers on those RF surfaces be removed? Or other solutions, thank you
The interference issue is not significant either; generally, the outer diameter of the sealing surface of the gasket is smaller than that of the flange’s sealing surface. Actual installation will not damage the gasket, and it is possible to avoid machining that chamfer – instead, the surface can be machined into a protrusion directly
Processing according to the standard dimensions will not cause the problem you mentioned
Don’t use a 45-degree angle; 30 degrees is fine
