In Figure C2-1 on pages 68-69 of the HGT21629-2021 standard drawings, the pipe-clamped rigid hangers come in various types. Table 2 lists the appropriate hanger rods for different pipe diameters and types. Should one simply select the hanger rod specification based on this table? Do we still need to calculate? For example, for DN250 Type A, should one simply choose an M20 suspension rod? Is that the way to select it?
According to the HGT21629-2021 standard, when using tube-clamped rigid hangers, the appropriate specification of hanger rod can be selected directly from the table. For example, if your requirement is a DN250 Type A pipe clamp, you can directly choose a M20 specification suspension rod. No additional calculations are required, unless there are special requirements imposed by the engineering conditions or the load conditions fall outside the range covered by the standard tables. .
