Why are two valves installed on the Turi bypass? Can’t it be controlled with just one valve? ? Is it because the roles they play are different? ? Seeking advice{:1_90:}
Under normal conditions, all three valves are closed. When it’s time to activate the valve in the main circuit, since the valve is large and there is high backpressure, the valve in the bypass circuit is activated first; this makes it easier to open the valve in the main circuit
High-pressure pipelines are designed to prevent high back pressure from preventing the valves from opening properly. Use a bypass to regulate pressure.
With so many irrelevant answers, the most likely reason for those two valves is that the pressure is too high, which is why dual valves are used.
I’ve learned it! ! ! Are there any standards that mention this? ? I would like to understand it in more depth from various aspects{:1_90:}

This is generally determined by project regulations and practices; substances like hydrogen, which are considered toxic and dangerous, are often mentioned. There are also cases involving high pressures like yours. In reality, however, different companies follow different approaches, and it’s not always the case that such measures are used
From the diagram you provided, the following information can be obtained: 1. 24-inch electric ball valve (normally closed, control lever); it is presumed to be used for emergency discharge; 2. The auxiliary lines are equipped with 2-inch, 10-kilogram manual ball valves and globe valves (normally closed); with this arrangement, it can be understood that manual operation will often be required in practice. Generally, auxiliary lines are not equipped with dual valves, but there are exceptions in all cases, such as those involving high pressure, high risk, corrosive materials, prone to clogging, or those that require manual adjustment. This passage can help in understanding the problem!
