Please refer to the image below, which shows the finished insulated pipe supports for the low-temperature water pipes installed in the external utility tunnel. The design temperature for these low-temperature water pipes is 5°C above zero. Question: Is it necessary to use adhesive to seal the gap between the upper and lower tiles inside the cold insulation pipe support? Are there any relevant regulations covering this aspect?
Without any gaps for leakage, the cold air doesn’t escape; as a result, an ice formation appears on the pipe supports.
It can be ignored; there’s no need to glue it.
Adhesion is the best option, but heat leakage is negligible.
It needs to be bonded with rosin asphalt.
