Diaphragm valve selection

It is a fluid corrosive medium with a solid content of around 40%. I am considering using a diaphragm valve – should I choose a straight-through type or a check valve type? Have any of you sea friends used it? Please give some advice
A weir-type diaphragm valve will suffice, as shown in the figure below
