The resin tower has failed; can pumps be used to remove and load the resin? If possible, which pump is the best to use?
We remove it manually, and after that it is placed in new caustic soda bags with inner pockets; after processing, it is added from the top
Do not use a pump; first empty the resin column, then open the lower manual access port and connect a pipe, and slowly introduce water in the reverse direction – the resin will flow out through the manual access port. If you have any issues, feel free to contact me
We used a submersible pump to draw it out; we did it several times back and forth, and there were no problems
No pump is needed; when replacing the resin here, we obtain a permit for working in a confined space, and the replacement is done manually.
