Dear experts, I would like to ask what the normal range is for the annual increase in voltage of electrolyzers in volts. Also, our factory experienced a power outage due to a lightning strike in September this year; the voltage was about 7 volts higher once it started operating again. What effects can lightning strikes have on various components? Experts, please help analyze this.
The cell slot voltage increases by 30 mV per year as normal, while the cell efficiency decreases by about 1% per year. In the actual operation of the electrolyzer, variations in operating current and changes in the quality of the brine, as well as the number of start-up and shutdown cycles, all affect voltage fluctuations. After tripping, the battery cell is put back into operation; the voltage generally does not change significantly compared to before, showing a gradual increase. If the quality of the saltwater changes, the voltage will change immediately.
