Let’s share our experiences with the application of online voltage monitoring among those who are familiar with Chuan devices.
The online cell voltage monitoring system used in our factory works quite well; it is mainly applied to electrolytic cells. The system can monitor voltage changes in real time, with data being transmitted directly to the control room; as a result, operators no longer need to go to the site frequently to read meters. It can also issue automatic alerts in the event of abnormal voltage fluctuations, allowing for early detection of electrode problems or short circuits, thus saving a significant amount of time on maintenance. However, at the beginning of installation, there were occasional packet losses in signal transmission; after adding a signal amplifier, things became much more stable. How is it being used over there? Have you encountered any other problems? .
Is there a discrepancy between the voltage value measured online and the actual measured voltage?
Yes, there are indeed deviations, but they are generally not significant. The difference between the online measurements we take and those obtained with an actual multimeter is generally within ±0.05V, which is considered within the normal range. The deviations stem from several factors: first, the sensors themselves have accuracy errors; second, there may be interference in the signal transmission; and third, the location of the temperature measurement points does not exactly match the actual points where manual measurements are taken. Just calibrate it regularly using a standard table; there’s no major issue. .
