Recently, the on-line analysis system for the synthesis converter in the vinyl chloride workshop of Tianeng Chemical Plant No. 1 was put into operation, providing strong support for improving the production efficiency and safety of vinyl chloride. It is reported that this online analysis system, which was developed through multiple joint evaluations by the workshop and professional technicians, consists of a grouped sampling system and an online analysis unit, enabling online monitoring and analysis of the synthesis reaction in the vinyl chloride converter. After the system was put into operation, the sampling and analysis time was significantly reduced from 8 hours to 5 minutes, the frequency of on-site sampling was greatly decreased, and the accuracy of sample preparation improved markedly. At the same time, the system can automatically record analysis parameters, generate curves showing changes in components, and create databases, which are then transmitted remotely to the production site, thereby enabling a transition from manual sampling to automatic, continuous monitoring of the entire process. In addition, the system can also generate monitoring trend charts for the reactor reaction gases, allowing employees to observe and adjust the reaction conditions in real time, thereby effectively improving the conversion rate of vinyl chloride synthesis and reducing calcium carbide consumption.
