There are an increasing number of soda ash projects both domestically and abroad. In which process stages is filtration required? Thank you!
The filtration process utilizes a continuous rotary vacuum filter to separate sodium bicarbonate crystals (saleratus) from Mother Liquor I in the carbonation effluent. The crystals are then washed on the filter to remove any residual Mother Liquor I, ensuring that the sodium chloride content in the saleratus does not exceed the specified limit. Subsequently, dehydration and substantial drying are carried out to reduce the moisture content in the saleratus to the level required by the process.
