The pipeline is made of 316L material and has no lining. I want to add a tee by making an opening in the pipeline. I’m concerned that if the acid on the inner wall cannot be completely removed, it might cause damage to the pipeline during welding, such as corrosion.

It’s better to rinse it with water and then blow it dry with air. If it’s a metal pipe, there’s no need to use air, as there’s a risk of hydrogen gas accumulating inside the pipe
