Generally, as long as the residual oxygen level in the melting furnace is above 2%, no elemental sulfur will be formed. When the carbon monoxide content in smelting flue gas is too high, elemental sulfur is generated in the purification unit towers and electrostatic mist eliminators. Abnormal color of sulfuric acid is mainly due to problems in the purification process. If the color is red, is it to check whether the iron level is too high through testing? Is the selenium content high? Cadmium content? Another one is nitrogen oxides; these are the most troublesome. To detect them, take a bottle of acid that is red in color and let it sit for a few days to see if any white flocculent substances appear.
If the finished acid turns red after being left for a few days, it is likely that the nitrogen oxide content in it is high.
