Friends, there are three different values for the viscosity of 98% sulfuric acid, based on information from forums and the data I have. I would like to ask which source everyone is using as a reference? Figure 1 shows the viscosity of concentrated sulfuric acid on page P66 of the \"Technical and Design Manual for Ammonium Phosphate Calcium Carbonate\" ; Figure 2 shows the viscosity of concentrated sulfuric acid from pages P20–P21 of the Physical and Chemical Data section in the \"Sulfuric Acid Process Design Manual\" ; Figure 3 shows the viscosity of concentrated sulfuric acid as given on page 203 of the “Handbook of Physical Properties of Chemicals and Chemical Engineering Materials: Inorganic Volume” ; :Q

There are many reasons for discrepancies in the data contained in professional manuals, but in most cases it is due to different sources from which the data is drawn. Given the timing of when those data sources were compiled and the limitations in information exchange at that time, it is quite normal for discrepancies to occur. Another possibility is that it is due to different units of measurement; there used to be many units for viscosity, but currently dynamic viscosity and kinematic viscosity are those commonly used. The poster can take some concentrated sulfuric acid and have a laboratory determine its viscosity; such measurements are easy to carry out in a regular laboratory that has the necessary equipment for viscosity testing.
