Dear colleagues: The company is planning to launch a project for the production of sulfuric acid as a reagent through its purification process. We have heard that quartz glass distillation equipment is often used for this purpose. However, we recently came across the “List of Obsolete Technologies and Equipment to Be Phased Out in Hazardous Chemicals Production issued by the Emergency Management Bureau this year (First Batch 2020),” in which “glass-based atmospheric pressure distillation equipment for sulfuric acid production” is listed as equipment that should be phased out; instead, steel-based distillation equipment should be used. Do any of you know anything about this? Can the metal ions from steel equipment meet the required standards?
Thinking in reverse, since it has been promoted, it means that steel-based equipment can meet the production requirements.
So who knows something about steel distillation equipment?
