Plant operations: Status of PVC production plants as of the 23rd. The Huasu plant in Suzhou is operating at 70% capacity, with stable output levels. Market analysis by region: The PVC market in Shanghai is experiencing poor sales, with prices continuing to decline; there is a significant difference between high and low prices. The quoted price for type 5 mainstream self-pickup is between 6,400 and 6,550 yuan per ton, with some sources offering slightly higher prices. Tianchen Type 5 costs 6,600 yuan per ton if picked up in person, Tianye Type 3 costs 6,900 yuan per ton, and Tianchen Type 8 costs 6,950 yuan per ton; high prices make it difficult to secure sales. The PVC market in the Guangzhou area remained calm; affected by the sharp drop in futures prices, trading volume was low and prices continued to fall. The regular Type 5 calcium carbide costs 6,400–6,470 yuan per ton for pick-up at the factory; the Type 5 product from Bingcheng is priced at 6,400 yuan per ton for pick-up, while Xinfafa’s Type 5 product costs 6,430 yuan per ton for pick-up. Yili/Junzheng’s Type 5 product is priced at 6,450 yuan per ton for pick-up, and Zhongtai’s Type 5 product costs 6,500 yuan per ton for pick-up. The price of ethylene material remains stable for now; the mainstream price is 7,100–7,200 yuan per ton for pickup at the supplier’s location, while the Dagu 1000 model costs 7,120 yuan per ton for pickup at the supplier’s location. 6. Future outlook: Futures are expected to fluctuate weakly, while spot trading will remain sluggish. There is a strong sentiment of hesitation; the market atmosphere is sluggish, and prices continue to fall.
