Liansheng Chemical’s new 30,000-ton PBAT production plant comes online

In April 2026, Liansheng Chemical’s 30,000-ton per year degraded plastic production facility was put into operation, and qualified products have been produced. Liansheng Chemical was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange on April 9, 2022. Project 2 within its fundraising project \"New Construction Projects for Ultra-Pure Electronic Chemicals and Biodegradable New Materials (Phase I)\") involves the production of ultra-pure electronic chemicals as well as 30,000 tons of biodegradable plastics (24,000 tons of PBAT, 3,000 tons of PBS, 3,000 tons of modified PBT), with 2,357 tons of tetrahydrofuran produced as a by-product annually. “Project 2 has a total investment of 460 million yuan (originally planned at 351 million yuan, with additional funding added later). It is located in the Taizhou Bay Economic and Technological Development Zone in Linhai City, Taizhou Province, Zhejiang Province. The completion date was initially set for March 27, 2023; however, due to factors such as the pandemic and industry conditions, the construction of this 30,000-ton capacity plant for biodegradable plastics was delayed until June 30, 2026
