Huijie Biology’s 60,000-ton bio-based adhesive project is now in operation

Recently, Luohe Huijie Biotechnology Co., Ltd. plans to invest 100 million yuan to build a facility in the Ecological Circular Economy Industrial Park in Yuanhui District, Luohe City, aimed at producing 60,000 tons per year of bio-based adhesives, epoxy adhesives, bio-based emulsions, water-based anti-corrosion coatings, and bio-based polyurethane compounds. The project will involve constructing the facility using existing factories in the leased industrial park; once completed, it will have the capacity to produce 15,000 tons of bio-based adhesives, 5,000 tons of epoxy resins, 10,000 tons of bio-based emulsions, 15,000 tons of water-based anti-corrosion coatings, and 15,000 tons of bio-based polyurethane compounds per year. Huijie Biology was registered on June 26, 2024, with a registered capital of 1 million yuan. In the company’s equity structure, Zhangjiagang Feihang Technology Co., Ltd. holds 55% of the shares. The company’s business scope covers various areas such as the research and development of bio-based material technologies, the development of polymerization technologies for bio-based materials, services related to the promotion of new material technologies, the sales of synthetic materials, and the sales of coatings. It is a technology-driven enterprise focused on the field of bio-based materials. It is understood that part of the bio-based emulsions produced by this project will be used for the production of the company’s own water-based anti-corrosion coatings, while the remaining 5,000 tons will be sold to external parties. Bio-based emulsions are primarily used in wall emulsion paints, floor coatings, roof waterproofing coatings, and decorative coatings. They not only offer excellent application properties such as ease of application and fast drying time, but also endow the coatings with good stain resistance and scrub resistance, providing significant advantages in terms of their practical use.
