What are the functions of flushing oil in atmospheric and vacuum distillation units?
There seems to be a lot of flushing oil used for equipment; I’m not very familiar with the processes involved. Could you tell me what those are?
The main function of the pump is heat exchange. Before starting up the process, the equipment and pipelines are cleaned to remove rust and impurities; when shutting down, the heavy oil inside the pipelines and equipment is replaced to ensure a smoother start-up next time

These days it’s all isolation fluid; who still uses flushing oil? Pumps have their own self-flushing oil
