Does the exhaust fan for the engine lubrication oil tank consume a lot of oil? The exhaust fan in our pressure pump system uses quite a lot of oil. What could be the reason? Is it due to high temperatures? The temperature of the oil tank is 48 degrees
Ours is the same; it’s probably time to replace the filter element of the fan
Is it the filter element at the fan inlet? No such component was found during the on-site inspection
What is the level of water in the lubricating oil? Check whether there is a filter or similar component at the drain port of the fuel tank; if not, it is recommended to add one. This filter should function similarly to those located at the gas outlet of oil-gas separators, in order to reduce the likelihood of liquid phase being carried along with the gas phase.
Because of steam leakage from the turbine’s air seal, the lubricating oil still contains a small amount of water
