Huajin Co., Ltd. announced a patent for “A device and method for removing coke powder entrained in the vapor at the top of a coke tower”. Recently, the patent for “A device and method for removing coke powder entrained in the vapor at the top of a coke tower” applied for by Northern Huajin Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. was published. The abstract indicates that this invention proposes a device and method for removing coke powder entrained in the vapor at the top of the coke tower. By adding cyclone separators and oil-vapor purification equipment to the vapor at the top of the coke tower, multi-stage separation of the high-temperature oil vapor is achieved, resulting in effective removal of coke powder. This approach enhances the thoroughness of coke powder removal, enables the elimination of coke powder from high-temperature oil vapor. Collection and washing tanks are used to wash and recover the coke powder separated by the cyclone separators and oil-vapor purification equipment, thereby allowing for the recycling of the washing oil, reducing its consumption and lowering costs. Another portion of the high-temperature liquid phase returns to the bottom of the distillation tower, allowing for full utilization of resources. This reduces wear and tear on subsequent equipment in the distillation system such as pumps and pipelines, extends the service life of these devices, reduces the frequency of maintenance and replacement, improves the operational stability and reliability of the entire plant, and enhances the economic efficiency of the whole process.
