To fully implement the requirements for high-quality transformation and development and to earnestly pursue the concept of green and low-carbon development, Jinneng Holding Equipment Manufacturing Group focuses on the key task of transforming and upgrading the chemical industry. By phasing out outdated production capacities and optimizing production processes, it makes every effort to advance the green transformation of the fixed-bed batch gasification process. Through systematic planning and efficient implementation, between March and April 2026, the pure oxygen gasification upgrade projects of Jinfeng, Tianyuan, and Jinxiang were successfully completed and put into operation. This marks a new advancement in the greenness and sophistication of the group’s gasification processes, representing another significant achievement on the path toward sustainable and high-quality development. It is understood that the original production facilities of Jinfeng, Tianyuan, and Jinxiang all used a fixed-bed batch gasification process. Due to the inherent limitations of this traditional process, there were significant environmental issues, and the efficiency of resource utilization was low. During operation, this process faces significant challenges such as difficulties in controlling the emission of waste gases, low efficiency in converting coal resources, and uncontrolled release of toxic and harmful gases. The environmental protection level of this facility is low, and it is not in line with the goals of sustainable and low-carbon development. In recent years, both the national and local levels have continued to strengthen strict requirements regarding ecological protection, introducing a series of industrial policies and environmental regulations. In 2019, the **Development and Reform Commission included fixed-bed batch gasification technology in the list of \"restricted\" process technologies ； In 2023 and 2024, the State Council and the People’s Government of Shanxi Province issued the \"Action Plan for Continuous Improvement of Air Quality,\" which explicitly calls for the gradual phasing out of fixed-bed batch gas generators. Against this backdrop, carrying out green upgrades to the gasification processes at these three enterprises is not only an inevitable choice in line with policy guidelines and to uphold environmental protection standards, but it also represents a practical effort by the group to thoroughly implement relevant national and local policies, take proactive action in fulfilling its responsibilities as a state-owned enterprise in terms of environmental protection, and pursue a path of green and high-quality development. In the campaign to carry out green upgrades to the gasification process, the group took coordinated action with all its departments; it designated the gasification upgrade projects as key tasks for the group and made every effort to advance them. The group conducted thorough feasibility studies, optimized project plans, and carried out evaluations, while strictly controlling all stages of the project – from initiation to design and construction ； At the same time, strengthen progress control throughout the entire process, conduct regular supervision and coordination, address issues promptly, and make every effort to ensure that the project is constructed in compliance with regulations and progresses efficiently. Jinfeng, Tianyuan, and Jinxiang have taken full responsibility for their tasks, paid close attention to the key deadlines, worked backwards to establish project timelines, and made every effort to ensure that the projects are implemented successfully. In 2024, all three companies completed the necessary preliminary procedures related to safety, environmental protection, energy efficiency, and other aspects required for project construction, laying a solid foundation for the smooth start of the projects ； In April 2026, the gasification upgrade projects of the three companies were fully completed and put into operation successfully, with all renovation tasks being fulfilled as planned. This gasification upgrade has enabled a transition from traditional gasification processes to more advanced ones, resulting in significant environmental and economic benefits. After the renovation, the original fixed-bed batch gasifier along with its associated air-blowing and recovery systems are completely eliminated, thereby significantly reducing the generation and emission of waste gas pollutants at the source ； By adopting a closed, continuous operation mode, the problems associated with gas leakage and the spread of unpleasant odors that existed in the conventional atmospheric-pressure intermittent gas production process have been resolved. Uncontrolled release of toxic and harmful gases has been prevented, resulting in a significant improvement in the air quality within the factory area. At the same time, the renovation effectively improves the utilization rate of coal, reduces the consumption of raw coal, significantly lowers the ash and residue carbon content, and decreases the amount of solid waste generated, thereby achieving \"energy conservation, emission reduction, and synergistic efficiency gains\". Taking Tianyuan Company as an example, after the renovation is completed, it will be possible to reduce the annual emissions of major waste gases such as particulate matter, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen oxides by a total of about 97 tons. Additionally, around 45,000 tons of raw coal can be saved each year, resulting in significant benefits both in terms of environmental protection and economics. At present, efforts to protect the ecological environment are continuing to intensify, and the transition toward a green and low-carbon economy is advancing steadily. The strategic goals related to carbon reduction are being pursued with determination, and giving priority to ecology, practicing conservation and efficiency, as well as adopting green and low-carbon practices have become essential paths for enterprises to achieve high-quality development.
