In the past, in Class A explosion-proof workshops, cables were enclosed in tubes, which made maintenance and inspection difficult. Now we plan to place the cables directly on cable trays – is that acceptable? Is it compliant?
Why doesn’t it meet the requirements? It can’t be that the workshop refuses to provide the channel strips, right?

It definitely does not meet the requirements. A cover must be installed at the end of the cable tray, and fireproofing material must be placed when passing through walls. Class A explosion-proof production areas are considered hazardous sources that fall under the **strict supervision category of ‘two key aspects, one major item, and one significant risk’. Routine maintenance is troublesome and leads to unnecessary issues; what’s the point of that? :):):):):):):)

One issue: when exiting the cable tray, it should be laid inside tubes, and an explosion-proof flexible tube should be used before it reaches the instruments
