Should sewage pumps be powered by dual power sources?
Do you mean the sewage pump? The sewage pumps used in our company only require three-phase electricity! Moreover, electric pumps are usually installed outdoors, not submerged under sewage!
We use cleaning pumps here, but no dual power supply – it’s not necessary for our operating conditions. Whether it’s needed or not depends on the process requirements. I wonder if anyone has any standards or guidelines in this area that they could share; I’d like to learn from them*
It depends on your specific requirements and power supply situation; there are no strict requirements.
Generally, one in service and one as backup are provided in accordance with design specifications. A dual power supply is not necessary.
