Question: Is a toxic gas alarm needed for carbon disulfide gas?

Is it necessary to replace them with toxic gas detectors? I think carbon disulfide is an extremely flammable gas, so using a combustible gas detector is perfectly fine. Moreover, the toxicity of carbon disulfide isn’t very high; it’s likely that the warning threshold of a toxic gas detector is even lower than that of a combustible gas detector. I would appreciate it if an expert could provide an answer.

Gases that are both flammable and toxic as required are tested as toxic gases (since the toxicity level of ordinary gases is much lower than their lower explosion limit); therefore, carbon disulfide is recommended to be treated as a toxic gas, and it has been found that electrochemical methods can be used for its detection
Carbon disulfide is listed on the catalog of highly toxic substances. According to the regulations, toxic gas detectors cannot be replaced by combustible gas detectors; toxic gas detectors must be used

According to GB50493-2009, clause 3.0.1.4, for gases that are both toxic and flammable, only toxic gas detectors are required. Strong bar!
