Our company uses UPS units manufactured by Qingdao Edison. An internal battery failure (accompanied by a discharge sound) caused the 200V solenoid valve connected to it to activate (acting as a quick-shut valve), which led to the shutdown of the air separation unit. It is suspected that a battery issue caused this accident; could an expert please analyze whether a battery problem can lead to such an incident?
An internal short circuit in the battery can cause overcurrent protection in the rectifier module, and the UPS may lose voltage.
