Are fire suppression pipes required in the substation?

When designing a substation, is it necessary to install fire-fighting facilities such as fire hydrant boxes on the substation stairs and outdoors? Are there any regulatory requirements? I’ve never encountered such things in the projects I’ve worked on before, but it happens in the designs created by current design firms; I’m not quite sure why
