Everyone knows about insulated motors, but are there insulated generators? Also, can an insulated motor be used as a generator?
Some electric motors can be used directly as generators, provided that their magnetic poles are made of permanent magnet materials. If it is not a magnetic pole of a permanent magnet material, an external excitation current can be applied to convert it into a generator.
If the motor is changed to a generator, the stator and rotor must be wound-type. How to use the electricity generated separately?
Non-wound motors are not conventional motors; they are generally special types of motors, such as linear motors. The electricity generated is of course used as power, or it’s released directly through sparks, just for fun.
I mean, how is the electricity generated integrated into the power grid? Is it integrated into the company’s internal grid or an external one?
An asynchronous motor can also function as a generator; if the rotor is driven by another source of energy, it will generate electricity at speeds over 3000 revolutions per minute and automatically connect to the power grid.

Connect several power capacitors in parallel at the outlet of the junction box, and link them to the electrical load and voltage meter ; 2. Connect the motor shaft end to the diesel engine ; 3. Disconnect the load circuit breaker, start the diesel engine, operate it at medium to low speed, and observe the voltage meter ; 4. When the voltage reaches around 300V, adjust the diesel engine speed to a generation frequency of around 50Hz (±1Hz) ; 5. Combined load circuit breaker. Its advantage is that it is easy to implement, but the voltage and frequency are not very stable.
