How to enhance ground bearing capacity? To place the equipment on the ground, it has four legs, and the total weight of the equipment together with the materials is 20 tons. There is concern that the load-bearing capacity of the ground may not be sufficient, leading to the equipment sinking into the ground (the ground consists of a 100 mm thick layer of sand and gravel, with a 100 mm thick layer of reinforced concrete on top). How can the ground be modified to ensure that the equipment will not cause the ground to sink under its weight?
Pile driving is carried out using steel pipes down to below the bearing stratum; thereafter, the existing surface is roughened, a rebar mesh is added, and the surface layer is thickened.
This method simply thickens and strengthens the surface layer; it seems to work differently from the principle used in pile driving during normal construction
For 20-ton weights, it is recommended to build a foundation separately
