Recently, the water treatment plant unit of the Lianhong Gerun integrated system supporting project successfully completed its first single-unit trial run, thanks to thorough planning and meticulous operation. The test run proceeded smoothly throughout, with all technical parameters meeting or exceeding the design requirements, marking a significant milestone in the installation and commissioning of the key equipment. To ensure success in the first attempt, the project team worked together with equipment suppliers, construction teams, and technical teams to tackle the challenges jointly. Before the trial run, procedures such as construction quality tracking, lubrication system verification, and electrical insulation testing are strictly carried out. The condition of the equipment is checked repeatedly, electrical control circuits are tested, instrument interlock controls and status displays are verified, and the sealing condition of pipe flanges is inspected, in order to eliminate any potential hazards and lay a solid foundation for completing the individual unit trial run. After the start command was given, the machine operated smoothly from no-load operation to load testing; the status indicated by the monitoring instruments was normal. Key parameters such as vibration amplitude, bearing temperature, flow rates, as well as current and voltage levels, all remained within the design-approved ranges. Electrical local start/stop functions, remote stop via instruments, and instrument-interlocked shutdown tests all worked properly. This successful test run marks a crucial step for the project as it moves from the construction phase to the testing phase. It has helped build confidence and experience for the testing of other units in the future, providing strong momentum for completing the entire project on schedule, and has earned high praise from the project owner. The Lianhong Gerun project features a large total investment scale and high technical complexity. Covering an area of over 1,600 mu, it includes various facilities such as an EVA production plant with an annual capacity of 200,000 tons, a CHPPO production plant with an annual capacity of 300,000 tons, a PPC production plant with an annual capacity of 50,000 tons, a DMTO production plant with an annual capacity of 1.3 million tons, as well as a 110kV substation and related supporting infrastructure. It has been included in Shandong Province’s list of key projects to be implemented.
