Introduction to the Utility Engineering Section: To better serve our users, a survey was conducted a few days ago: “Do you know which specialties are included in the ‘Utility Engineering Section’?” Tell me! https://bbs.hcbbs.com/thread-2054413-1-1.html. Based on the survey results and the division of responsibilities within the forum, an introduction to the Public Works section is provided below, so that members can participate in discussions and activities related to this section as needed. Please feel free to point out any mistakes: This section covers engineering management (design, construction, cost estimation), water supply and drainage systems, civil engineering (construction, decoration, municipal works, roads and bridges, landscaping, etc.), heating systems, gas engineering, ventilation and air conditioning systems, power engineering (including boilers, steam turbines, generators, etc.), various gas compression and supply systems, as well as primary water, circulating water, desalinated water, deoxygenated water, chilled water, cooling water, etc. In short, any technical or management issues that do not fall under specific other sections can be discussed and exchanged in this section! Your participation is welcome!
This utilities section has an extremely wide scope; people can express themselves freely and post discussions on a wide range of topics. It’s likely to become another highly popular section in the near future. There are also shortcomings: the topic of discussion is too broad, making it difficult to focus on or delve into it in depth.
I agree with your view! I aim to provide a platform for technical discussions that is not overly constrained by categories, specialties, or divisions of labor. I hope to create a comprehensive discussion forum that spans different specialties, categories, and disciplines; friends are welcome to post and discuss here. As for any shortcomings, we have a basic principle: for popular topics, we keep them at the top of the discussion list for some time until the discussions are essentially concluded, and only then do we move on to other topics ； Or establish a topic selection panel with representatives at different levels to select popular topics for promotion (or as alternatives). Any new thing will certainly have its shortcomings. Our suggestion is to get it started first, encourage everyone to offer their opinions, make continuous improvements, and gradually take this section to a better state!
