Can the boiler continuous drain water be fed into the regular drain expansion tank?

The boiler in our facility no longer has any use for its drainage water, but it still generates a lot of heat; steam is produced in large quantities when this water is discharged as wastewater. The manager wants me to prepare a plan to direct this drainage water to a expansion tank before it is discharged as wastewater. Is this approach feasible? I haven’t looked for any professional books either; could some expert share their insights?
