1. Material selection and design are of key importance. Based on this, designers should give full consideration to materials with a low corrosion rate in the equipment installation environment, and design products scientifically from a cost-performance perspective, in order to ensure the corrosion resistance of the equipment and extend its service life. 2. Environmental issues All situations that could lead to corrosion due to environmental factors are thoroughly considered, and measures are taken to address such potential issues; for example, in cases of a humid air environment, desiccants can be used. 3. Add corrosion inhibitors to the ultrapure water equipment. There are three main categories of corrosion inhibitors, each with its own mechanism of action; they include organic, inorganic, and gas-phase corrosion inhibitors. The addition of an appropriate corrosion inhibitor has a significant inhibitory effect on metal corrosion. 4. Cathodic protection Cathodic protection can be used to prevent metal corrosion. The principle behind this method is to apply an external direct current to turn the entire ultra-pure water system into a cathodic area, thereby eliminating corrosion.
