Why is there backflow in the outlet pipe of the backwash fan for the biological aerated filter in the plant? After the pipe flipped upward, it was nearly 1 meter higher than the liquid level in the tank, yet water was still flowing back through the pipe. What’s going on?
This problem occurs when the liquid suddenly flows back after the machine stops; a U-shaped bend with a height of only one meter is not sufficient to prevent the reverse flow of the liquid. Just like the principle of waves. This setup should have a check valve, or the check valve is damaged. Either increase the height at which the U-shaped channel is used, or drain the return water after shutting down the machine.
