When installing fiberglass-reinforced plastic equipment on-site, sand is used in some cases, while it isn’t necessary in others. Could experts please help resolve this issue? Are there any relevant installation guidelines?
There are no specific rules; usually, sand is used as a filler, with a thickness of around 5 cm. The key is to use flexible connections when connecting devices such as pumps, and not rigid connections.
