A welding fume purifier is installed for welding operations; this type of environmental protection equipment has been seen in manufacturing plants, and today it was actually encountered at a prefabrication site. It seems necessary to implement effective control of VOCs on site, protect workers’ health, and meet environmental emission standards. These meticulous measures are being integrated into every aspect of the project development – great job!
A welding fume purifier is used to filter smoke and dust. Dust does not belong to VOCs. Let’s first understand the concept of VOC.
It has been mandatory in recent years! Especially in Shanghai
That’s too narrow-minded; a welding fume extractor is used to reduce the emission of harmful gases in an uncontrolled manner.
You’d better find out first, so as not to be laughed at.
It is necessary; the dust levels in welding areas are too high, which is harmful to welders’ health and reduces efficiency as well
It’s mainly dust removal – small cyclone separators, or a combination of physical dust removal and electrostatic dust removal? ?
Features of the welding fume purifier: 1. It can be moved freely to any location within the factory, without being restricted by the locations where dust is generated or by the variability of work positions. 2. The equipment is equipped with universal casters, which facilitate its positioning and movement. 3. Unmatched treatment efficiency: at the rated air handling volume, the dust removal rate is ≥99%, and the clean air discharged after treatment can be directly recycled and released within the workshop. 4. The equipment is equipped with an automatic pulse dust cleaning device, which ensures a constant air intake volume and a consistent purification capacity. 5. The control system of the equipment, which features a special design, is safe and stable, and is equipped with high-voltage leakage protection. 6. With a flexible suction arm, it can hover at any position in three-dimensional space, and reach dust-generating points in any direction with ease and flexibility in 360 degrees. 7. For special operating conditions, corresponding dust collection hood outlets can be selected on-site. 8. With special shock absorption and noise reduction measures, the equipment ensures low noise levels and is environmentally friendly. 9. The equipment is easy to operate, and simple to clean and maintain. 10. Pollution sources can be treated using mobile single-unit systems or centralized multi-station systems.
Working principle: Under the action of the fan’s suction force, welding fumes and waste gases are drawn into the device’s air inlet through a universal dust collection hood. A flame arrester is installed at the air inlet; sparks are trapped by this arrester. The smoke and dust gases then enter a sedimentation chamber, where gravity and upward airflow are used to deposit larger particles of dust directly into the ash bin. Fine particles of dust are captured on the outer surface of the filter element. After being filtered and purified by the filter element, the clean air flows out from the center of the element into the clean room. This clean air is further purified by an activated carbon filter before being discharged through the outlet in compliance with standards.
