Recently, the construction site of the Changhua Chemical connection section of the second-phase expansion project of the petrochemical utility tunnel in Xuwéi New Area successfully completed the operation of lifting a 56-meter-long steel structural beam across the road using two cranes, which lays the foundation for ensuring the smooth commissioning of Changhua Chemical’s new projects for producing carbon dioxide polyethers and high-performance polyols – key projects at the provincial level. The two steel structural main girders lifted this time are 56 meters long and weigh 33 tons; their precise installation marks a breakthrough at a key stage of this project, accelerating the progress of subsequent construction work. Faced with the dual challenges of road construction and high temperatures, the project team at Yangjing Pipe Tunnel Company adjusted the working hours to avoid the heat, and at the same time continuously optimized the construction plan to precisely control the stress on the lifting points and the aerial posture. During the operation, the main beam was smoothly lifted to a height of 15.5 meters within 30 minutes, and an accurate alignment with a precision of 3 millimeters was achieved under the supervision of a total station, thus completing the lifting task successfully. The successful completion of this cross-road lifting operation not only provided a crucial guarantee for the timely commissioning of the Changhua Chemical project, but also fully demonstrated Yangjing Pipe Gallery Company’s technical expertise and capability in lifting large-scale steel structures.
