Recently, the first large-scale equipment for Wanjing Petrochemical’s project to produce 900,000 tons of propylene per year through propane dehydrogenation – the R-1008 reactor – was successfully lifted into place, marking the beginning of the installation of large-scale equipment for this project and laying a solid foundation for its further development. The R-1008 reactor is one of the key equipment in the reaction unit of this project, with specifications of Φ7900mm×20204mm and a weight of 310 tons. To ensure the smooth progress of this lifting operation, the project team organized several joint seminars involving technical, lifting, and safety departments to discuss the lifting plan for the project. By analyzing the stress changes that occur during lifting, the key movement points for the main crane were determined. A detailed special lifting construction plan was then developed based on the actual conditions; it was decided to use an 800-ton crawler crane as the main lifting device and a 280-ton crawler crane for assisting with the lift, with the reactor being rotated 90 degrees in the air during the lifting process. At 8 a.m. that day, the lifting of the reactor officially began; after more than 6 hours of continuous work, the equipment was finally lifted into place at 2 p.m. It is reported that the Wanjing Petrochemical project, with an annual production capacity of 900,000 tons of propylene produced through propane dehydrogenation, is located in the Zhongjing Petrochemical Technology Park in Jiangyin Town, Fuqing City, Fuzhou Province. The successful lifting of the heavy equipment has sparked a wave of intense activity at the site.
