Recently, good news came from the Green Transformation and Product Structure Adjustment and Upgrading Project of Xindu Chemical Salt Industry in Yingcheng, Hubei. The large-scale synthesis tower, part of the combined synthesis unit for this project, was successfully lifted into place in one go by Lu’an Chemical Machinery. The synthesis tower is the core unit of the project, weighing 580 tons, with a diameter of 3.6 meters and a height of 32.5 meters. A 1,250-ton crawler crane is used as the main crane, while a 600-ton crawler crane is responsible for providing precise support during the tail sliding operation. Synthesis towers are not only heavy but also require high precision. The internal structure of the equipment is special; it is a multi-layer wrapping device. To address challenges such as the complex manufacturing process of wrapping equipment and the high requirements for inter-layer adhesion, Lu’an Huajian Gasification Equipment Branch worked together closely, assigning a team with excellent technical skills to carry out the production. Strict controls were applied to processes such as welding, grinding, and inter-layer adhesion testing, to ensure that no quality defects arose during the equipment wrapping process, thereby guaranteeing the delivery of high-quality equipment in every aspect. It is reported that the project is located in the chemical industry park of Yingcheng City, Hubei Province. With a total investment of 7.5 billion yuan and covering an area of about 2,000 mu, it represents an important initiative by the local authorities to implement the concept of green development, accelerate the development of a circular economy, and respond to the **\"dual carbon\" policies. Upon completion, the project will establish a nationally leading demonstration industrial chain for the \"brine-salt-alkali-fertilizer\" cycle in the salt chemical industry, thereby promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of Hubei’s salt chemical sector. In recent years, Lu’an Huaji has focused on achieving the \"dual carbon\" goals and advancing its green transformation, making breakthrough achievements in key technology areas such as modular integration, biomass gasification, long-duration energy storage, and the electrolytic utilization of CO2. Next, Lu’an Huaji will continue to pursue a development path focused on internationalization, high-end capabilities, intelligence, and sustainability. It will develop a range of gasification technologies for various types of furnaces, and gradually advance advanced technologies and equipment in emerging energy fields such as PEM cells, power capsules, and long-duration energy storage. By doing so, it aims to contribute to the green transformation of the global energy industry, and to fast-track its development into a high-end supplier and service provider of energy-related equipment with global competitiveness.
From August 2 to 3, 2023, a review meeting was held for the process package of the gasification unit related to the Green Transformation of the Salt Chemical Circular Economy Industry Chain and the Adjustment and Upgrading of Product Structures project (referred to as the “Industry Transformation and Upgrading Project”) carried out by Yicheng Xindu Chemical Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as “Xindu Chemical”). Representatives from Yingshi Xindu Chemical Co., Ltd., China Wuhuan Engineering Co., Ltd., and Beijing Qingchuang Jinhua Technology Co., Ltd. attended the meeting. During the meeting, representatives from all three parties conducted a thorough and careful review, discussion, and in-depth exchange regarding various process flows, equipment, instruments, etc. included in the process package design documents, and reached a consensus on the key time milestones. The holding of this process package review meeting has created favorable conditions for the next phase of work, accelerated the project implementation timeline, and laid an important foundation for the subsequent stage of conceptual design and construction. The gasification unit of the Xindu Chemical’s salt chemical industry green transformation and product structure adjustment and upgrading project utilizes the water-cooled wall waste boiler gasifier (Jinhua Furnace 3.0) technology developed by Beijing Qingchuang Jinhua Technology Co., Ltd., with two units in operation and one as a backup. Vaporization pressure is 6.5 MpaG, and the total gas volume is 205,000 Nm3/h (CO+H2).
