On July 25, 2025, the commissioning ceremony for the gasification unit of Zhongrong New Energy’s project to produce 1.8 million tons of fine chemicals and 4,000 tons of hydrogen for use as battery fuel per year was held. The Zhongrong New Energy project for the co-production of 1.8 million tons of fine chemicals and 4,000 tons of hydrogen for use as battery fuel utilizes coal-based syngas along with methanol purchased from external suppliers. The project includes the construction of one production line capable of producing 600,000 tons of acetic acid per year, one line that can produce 400,000 tons of ethanol along with 800,000 tons of ethyl acetate per year, one line for producing 4,000 tons of hydrogen for battery use per year, and one hydrogen refueling station with a capacity of 2 tons per day. The construction contents mainly include gasification, purification, acetic acid, ethanol and ethyl acetate, hydrogen for battery use, hydrogenation units, etc., as well as supporting auxiliary facilities.
